Tidying Up Before The New Feature Arrive!

It’s officially March and we’re on the cusp of ushering in the new Spring season in less than 2 weeks. As is customary, we’re getting our house in order to prepare for all the exciting events (read major features) of the new season. We’ll highlight some sneak peaks we are making solid progress towards later in this post, but first, let’s take a minute to acknowledge all tiny messes addressed in this release.

  • UI Bugs That Were Embarrassing To Look At 🙈

    • Have you ever noticed that slight misalignment of checkmarks next to uploaded files? Yeah, we did to and made sure it’s nice and perfect now
    • Changed the color of the error text for uploaded files in dark mode so it is easier to read.
    • Fixed misaligned icon for failed file uploads
    • Slight Navigation Bar changes to help with readability:
      • Increased the height in mobile view.
      • Solved a color contrast issue with the “by OneTrust” text in OneTrust’s green navigation bar.
      • Fixed an issue in the user menu where the app version number wraps incorrectly.
    • Fixed numerous accessibility issues with text, buttons, and dropdown menus
    • Fixed really long entity text sometimes overflowing the entity dropdown when viewing a document
    • Mobile view Enhancements
      • Clicking the same navigation menu item in mobile view will now close the menu rather than do nothing.
      • The user menu in mobile view now appears when viewing a document
      • Fixed a glitch where the navigation would quickly slide out if you reduce the browser window.
    • Fixed a bug where new allow/deny keywords didn’t have a visible user reference. No more hidden keywords!

  • New Layout for Profile Page

    • New redesigned, cleaner look
    • Changed the 2 fields for first and last name, to just one “name” field.
    • Added animations to the avatar button in the Profile page where the initials turn into a plus and vice versa

  • New Entities For Auto-Classification, IBAN and SWIFT

    • IBAN and SWIFT codes entities which were added in private beta last release are now accessible in the entities list for all tenants.

Winter Spring Is Coming ⚔️🤴👑

As we teased at the top of this post, we are excited for the Spring. Spring is rebirth, and several major initiatives we have been working on for months will pop up soon.

  • New Knative eventing and Kafka-centric microservice architecture:

Major under-the-hood change which will make the app more performant, reduce errors, and give us more visibility when errors arise so we can fix them faster

  • Brand New Cross-Collection Search

This has been a major initiative which is finally letting users work across an entire collection rather than a document at a time. We can’t wait to see how much time this helps save when complying with a records request.

  • Native Email Support

Major improvements to emails are coming. PST files will be split by each conversation thread, duplicate trimmed content will be removed, and the user interface for redaction has been greatly enhancements - including making the attachments, well, attached to their parent emails.

  • Native Spreadsheet Support

If you have ever uploaded a spreadsheet into our system you should be singing hallelujah just reading “native spreadsheet support.” Not only will we display them as a true spreadsheet instead of breaking them apart as a PDF, but our awesome developer Dániel went way out of his way to provide some really awesome features to make redactions simple. More details upon release👍
