Document Editing Enhancements

You know what’s cool? When the people making a product, you know, actually focus on the product. In this release, we are keeping the main thing… the main thing, by making document review more delightful.

  • Larger document view, with auto-collapsed entity sidebar.
    • New button to open and close the list of entities contained in the document.
    • New self-contained entity search that only searches the Entity sidebar.
    • The entity list in the sidebar is now paginated!
      • Users will see 10 entities at a time.
      • They can then click on the numbers at the bottom to navigate.
      • If the user selects an entity on the page, it will now automatically jump to the page with that entity.
  • New Icons and Shortcuts
    • Animated icon for the side menu which is delightful. Instead of three vertical dots, you’ll find two lines which transform into an X when clicked. When clicked, they should be animated to become an X.
    • New clickable Redacted.ai icon is now present, allowing you to go home with a single click.
    • New user avatar icon in the top right allows you access most common settings quickly.
  • Improved detection for UK license plates by removing results with less than 5 characters.
  • Fixed a rare bug in which a user session could be expired, casuing the entire interface to freeze.
  • New keyboard commands when interacting with spreadsheets
    • Press ⬇️ or ➡️ to select the first visible cell. Then continue to navigate with the arrow keys.
    • CMD + arrow keys jump to the end of the row/column, and scrolls to that cell if out of view.
    • SHIFT + CMD + arrow keys to expand selection
    • Cell commands: *R - redact
 *SHIFT + R - unredact
 *D - review
 *SHIFT + D - unreview
 *Backspace - delete
 *SHIFT + Backspace - reverse
 *Enter - make cell active
 *Escape - exit selection

Enhancements to User Settings and Invitations

  • Invitation emails no longer end up in Spam folders, and are delivered consistently. Hallelujah!
  • Allow user first name to be shorter than 3 characters. Previously users who registered names shorter than 3 characters were not able to use the app.
  • Removed the last name field, now there is only one name field to use
  • User Avatar photo can now be removed.
  • Renamed “Settings” section to “Profile”

CloudMagik Improvements

  • Many new analytic features added to help identify the all the ways users use the app. 👍
